The song thrush (Turdus philomelos) is a small, melodic songbird common to the UK. Slightly smaller than a blackbird, it features a warm-brown back and a cream-colored breast dotted with dark, distinct spots shaped like inverted arrowheads or upside-down hearts. They are celebrated for their loud, repetitive birdsongs and unique snail-cracking habits
The dipper (genus Cinclus) is the world's only truly aquatic songbird. Found near fast-flowing, clean rivers and streams, these plump, short-tailed birds are famous for constantly bobbing up and down and their incredible ability to walk or "fly" completely underwater to forage for insect larvae
